Most people make their margarita with tequila, which by definition has to be made in Mexico from 100% agave. We like to make our margaritas with agave spirit from Wiggly Bridge in York, ME. (You can think Champagne vs. sparkling wine)
Here is our simple office recipe:
2oz Wiggly Bridge Anejo agave spirit
1oz fresh squeezed lime juice
1oz Cointreau
a little squeeze of agave
a dash of salt
shake vigorously over ice and pour into a rocks glass.
It is simple.
It is strong.
It is delicious.
Enjoy it with another office favorite:
quick guacamole!
2 ripe avocados
.75oz fresh lime juice
1/4 Cup chopped cilantro
1/4 Cup shallot, minced
1/4 Cup jalapeno, minced
1/4 Cup red bell pepper, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons Aleppo pepper
Mash together, wait 10 minutes for flavors to meld and taste to adjust salt and lime.
Now it’s time to party!
