Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • cup water
  • 1 cup cold Kate’s butter cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  • Combine sour cream and water. Stir well.
  • In a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, process butter, flour, salt, and sugar until the butter is the size of peas. Add sour cream and water mixture and mix until no dry ingredients remain. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Shape dough into 2 disks. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate. Continue to use with your recipe.
