40 Paper chef and co-owner Josh Hixson can’t say enough about the gin being produced by Camden neighbor Blue Barren Distillery. It’s featured in this elegant summer cocktail. “Seeing a small startup business thrive and prosper brings me so much joy,” says Hixson.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces Barren's Harbor Gin
  • ¾ ounce sweet white vermouth
  • ¾ ounce lemon juice
  • 1 ounce crème de cacao
  • 1 ounce egg white
  • Glass: Martini
  • Garnish: Lemon twist

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake 10 seconds. Strain into a tall glass, discard ice, pour cocktail back into the shaker, and “dry” shake the cocktail again without ice, for another 10 seconds. Strain into a martini glass and serve with a twist of lime.
