Miso and Black Garlic Dipping Sauce

The umami comes at you from all angles with this combination. Leftover sauce will keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

Ingredients

  • cup sake or dry sherry
  • cup rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons miso
  • 3 cloves black garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 24 pan-fried beef and broccoli dumplings

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth and creamy. Depending on your blender, this could take up to 2 minutes as black garlic can be a tad sticky. Serve the sauce with freshly cooked dumplings.
