How long have you been bartending? Eight years

Cocktail challenge: Mulled Wine Affogato

What inspired your creation? I wanted a way to incorporate leftover red wine into a warming fall treat.

What is your favorite part about working in the Portland F&B scene? I love the creativity and top-notch quality that is across the board here. We are blessed to have this stage to work upon.

What is your cocktail ethos? Making drinks that are surprisingly delicious.

Makes

4 drinks

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 6 ounces crème de cassis
  • 6 ounces cranberry juice
  • 1 tablespoon mix of warming spices cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, ginger, etc.
  • sliced citrus or berries for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook all ingredients together on the stove or in a crockpot until simmering. Add to a cup and top with a scoop of your favorite ice cream.
