- 1 egg
- 3 spring roll wrappers
- 3 sheets nori
- 6 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 4 cups canola oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Combine egg and 1 tablespoon water in a small bowl. Use a pastry brush to spread the egg wash over the spring roll wrappers.
- Place a sheet of nori on top of each wrapper and brush the nori with the egg wash. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and rest for 10 minutes.
- Pour oil into a Dutch oven. Warm the oil to 300° over medium heat.
- Cut each nori-topped wrapper into 9 squares.
- Working in batches, place several crackers in the hot oil and fry until browned and crispy, about 5 minutes.
- Transfer crackers to a paper towel–lined plate, then season with salt.
