Luna Rooftop Bar at the top of Portland’s Canopy Hotel feels like nowhere else in town. With views that meld the best of urban chic and seascape, both the sprawling deck and inside lounge allow guests to enjoy cocktails and small plates in fashionable comfort with glowing service.
If you can’t make it to Luna in person (although we highly recommend you do!), their mixologists have created fall-centric cocktail recipes that you can make at home as the days get drastically shorter. We’ve launched our first edible MAINE reader challenge to make things even more fun. Click a bartender’s image below, make the cocktails (repeat as necessary), share your shenanigans along the way by tagging @ediblemaine and @lunarooftopbar, then vote for your favorite. On October 31st, the winning cocktail will officially join the Luna Rooftop Bar menu.

Welcome to the ultimate cocktail showdown, where the clink of glasses echoes the clash of titans! Our edible MAINE team, led by our Editor in Chief, Maggie Knowles, ascended to the Luna Rooftop Bar, where we met with the maestros of mixology. As the sun set and the stars came out to play, we captured their craft in action, with Chef Josh Berry immortalizing each moment through his lens.

We’ve all picked our favorites, but our lips are sealed tighter than a cocktail shaker! The contest runs from September 1 to October 31, and the winner will be announced shortly after. The victorious cocktail will then take its rightful place on the Luna Rooftop Bar menu, ready for you to order and savor under the starlit sky.
