Duck Sauce Sausage with Crunchy Herb, Sesame, and Peanut Slaw

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 teaspoon chili oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 clove garlic finely diced
  • 1 small knob peeled ginger finely diced
  • 1 small head of purple cabbage thinly sliced
  • 1 large carrot grated
  • 3 scallions chopped
  • 1 small bunch basil chopped
  • 1 small bunch cilantro chopped
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • ½ cup dry roasted peanuts
  • 2 Sowbelly Butchery Duck Sauce sausages cooked and sliced

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk vegetable and sesame oils, vinegar, soy sauce, mirin, chili oil, sugar, garlic, and ginger. Add cabbage, carrot, scallions, basil, cilantro, sesame seeds, and peanuts. Toss well and serve with sliced sausages.
