Maine Lobster Dog

Recipe and Intro by Emily Eklund of Vintage Dogs

When my husband Zac and I started Vintage Dogs, we sought to blend classic hot dog recipes with unique menu items as well. We love living and raising our family in Maine and wanted to pay tribute to this beautiful state with the Maine Lobster Dog. What is more Maine than a red snapper and fresh Maine lobster meat? This is how we conceived this dish—that and a ton of butter! We wanted to share our creations while meeting people all over the state, so we bought a food truck as well as a fully restored 1957 Chevy Panel truck (lobster red in color), which we converted into a mobile bar with six taps on the side to serve beer, cocktail, wine, or just about any other beverage you can think of. Reach out if you want our dogs and drinks at your events! We hope you enjoy this popular dog during the beautiful Maine summer.
