What inspired your creation? That’s easy. I love coffee.
What is your favorite part about working in the Portland F&B scene? I love how many new people I get to meet. There are so many people that come here from around the world. Plus, I get to look out at the best view in the city every day.
What is the weirdest drink someone has ordered? I worked at a bar down south where Brandy Old Fashioned made with Sour Soda was very popular; it is so gross!

Cocktail
- 1 ounce Ancho Reyes
- ¼ ounce Cynar
- 5 ounces cold brew coffee
- 1 dash molé bitters
- ½ ounce vanilla brown sugar simple syrup
Vanilla Brown Sugar Simple Syrup
- 1 cup boiled water
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
Cocktail
- Shake all ingredients together over ice, strain, and pour over ice in a Collins glass.
Vanilla Brown Sugar Simple Syrup
- Stir all ingredients together until melted.
