Peach Maple Bourbon Martini

When the summer heat is just beginning to fade and fall is a little closer than spring, peaches are plentiful in Maine. Did you go a little overboard at the orchard or market and have a few too many to eat? Here is a delicious drink you can make. Frozen sliced peaches work too, so go ahead and slice and freeze your extra peaches to savor throughout the year.

Ingredients

Peach Syrup

  • 2 peaches pitted
  • 8 oz tea earl grey preferred
  • 1 oz maple syrup
  • 1 oz lemon

Drink

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 3 oz purée

Instructions

Peach Syrup

  • Combine ingredients into a high-powered blender and process until very smooth. Strain through a fine mesh strainer and discard pulp.

Drink

  • Combine ingredients in shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain (or double strain if you prefer) into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a peach slice.
